Items for SaleHollowing Tool The hollowing tool is clamped to the quill of the tail stock of a wood lathe while the cutting end is supported by the tool rest at a vertical height to put the cutting edge at center of the wood. The articulated end of the tool is restrained in all axis except the horizontal. The tool is free to move around freely and is very easy to control the cutting action. If a laser option is used the wall thickness is easily controlled without guess work. There are several options in cutting tools. With the standard cutting tool it is easy to hollow a vessel through a small opening without a hook tool. If you already have a hook tool with a small diameter it can be used with this tool.
Basic tool is $249.99. The short 3/4" bored end is for 3/4" tools that you might already own. Adaptors are $20. Many accessories available including the laser attachment seen in the third image. Contact Stan Townsend
